Interested in Meditation? YIN/RESTORE/MEDITATION is now offered TWICE a week - Weds AND Sunday - starting in May both classes at 6:30 pm

New Weds Morning Class - 9:15 am OPEN PRACTICE - Main Studio is open and available for your own practice. The room will be heated to about 90 degrees to allow all styles to practice. If you have experience and know a sequence, you are welcome to come practice Hot 26, Primary Series Astanga, Flow, Power Flow, Yin/Restore, or any other sequence or practice you feel moved to practice. Although at times there will be instructors present, there will be no instructor there responsible for your safety and comfort, and all poses and sequences will be done at your own risk. Some hand-outs/examples of sequences from your favorite styles offered at Flow will be available. A great opportunity to inspire your personal practice in a community of fellow practitioners.

Early Bird Incentive Starts Thursday!
Toughest part of a 6 am class is getting out of bed…. So follow Nike’s motto and Just Do It…you’ll be really glad you did since there is hardly a more appropriate time to be practicing and integrating the deeper practices of yoga. Early in the morning when the world is just waking, there is the least amount of distractions. Our bodies, minds, and emotions are most neutral and ready to absorb the more subtle teachings of the yoga practice. David Coulter reminds us “Mornings are best for improving health – stiffness in the early morning tells you where you need the most careful attention.” B.K.S Iyengar reminds us that we access the subtler practices of sculpting the mind and emotions through the physical practice of asana. So, take advantage of this opportunity to maximize the benefit of your practice. Rise early in May with the sunrise and join us at Flow for 6am yoga and cycle classes, taking a moment to bask in the glory of the sunrise on your way to class.

"Release the Pain, Heal Yourself"

Mark will introduce a process that allows you to discover the root cause of your pain. Once discovered, you can break through barriers built up over years. Open yourself up to new possibilities for increased happiness, joy, and love in your life. We all have set backs from time to time. It is how we choose to deal with these set backs that defines us and makes us who we are today. No longer do you have to accept pain in your life. $40 per person

Teacher Intensive - Sunday, May 4th 1-5 pm $20 to attend
This 4 hour workshop is perfect for yoga teachers or students looking to deepen their teaching experience or individual practice. Participants will learn to weave a theme throughout their class or practice. We will use contemporary and ancient texts to integrate intentions and lead students deeper on a journey of connecting Mind, Body and Spirit. The second focus in this workshop is to explore safe and inviting hands-on adjustments to assist student in class.

Introduction to a Daily Practice – Early morning Yoga Intensive May 11-16. Jody Seaborn will lead a sequential practice exploring the yogic teachings of meditation, chanting, pranayama, and philosophy integrated within the asana practice. Each day’s Yoga will include all of these teachings with a specific focus on one aspect each day. The purpose of the week will be to create a personal toolkit of these teachings for use in your daily practice of life. Sun 7-8 pm, Mon -Thurs 6-8 am, Fri 6-9 am w/ breakfast on Friday. YogaFitKids! encourages kids, teens and parents, to explore their natural abilities in an active, safe, and fun way that honors the diversity of each students' flexibility and strength. YogaFitKids! is a fun, playful class where kids can move energy through their bodies and bring calm into their minds. YogaFitKids! is excellent for:

* Promoting physical development and a positive attitude toward physical activity.
* Building self-esteem, focus, and concentration.
* Improving strength, flexibility, body awareness, and neuromuscular coordination.
* Complementing other sports training by helping to prevent injury and improve coordination.
* Helping to find balance in busy and active lives, relieving overall stress, and helping to develop poise and confidence.
* Helping teens and adolescents to develop a healthy relationship with their changing bodies and a positive image of themselves
* Creating a totally positive, supportive and non-competitive environment where we use cooperative learning activities to build trust.

Surfing Meditation
When I am out there on the ocean floating on my board, alone with the wind and sky, I'm excrutiatingly aware of how small and insignificant I am in comparison to the awesome power of the water. It would be presumptuous of me to say that I surf the waves--in fact, the waves surf me!

Well, meditation (and yoga) is like surfing. If you push too hard and try to control your mind, you'll just end up feeling rigid and tight, and you'll keep wiping out as a result of your effort. But if you hang back and exert no effort at all, you wont have the focus or concentration necessary to hold your position as the waves of though and emotion wash over you. -- Stephen Bodian
