SANTOSHA

In Sanskrit, there are basically four words for happiness—sukha, santosha, mudita, and ananda—each of which points to a different level of happiness. Together, they constitute a path that leads us to the kind of happiness that really cannot be shaken. In April, we explore santosha or contenment.

Contentment

Contentment is the afterglow of living honestly and truthfully. Santosha is present whan we stop defining what makes us happy. ~Sybil

Santosha has been, for me, a real ego buster...it shows me something greater that letting myself feel disappointed or discontented with any given situation...switching it to being in a place of contentment or acceptance...I see that in some way we think we are deserving of a good day or a positive experience...I am the same loved and loving person in every situation and santosha is a constant knowing that my life is blessed and filled in every way...It has taken out the need to evaluate or put labels on my "special or particular way of feeling" I learn to rest into santosha or contentment and know its Truth.~Sybil

Remember Your Inner Teacher Workshop Remember Your Inner Teacher Workshop

Its time...to Remember Your Inner Teacher(s)
taught by Jody Seaborn

When: Friday April 16 - Monday April 19
Friday 6:30-8:30 pm
Sat/Sun 1-5 pm
Monday 7-9 pm

Purpose: A deep exploration of following your heart through the active practice of Asking, Listening, Discerning and Acting everyday and every Moment from the Guidance of your Inner Teacher(s). This weekend will be especially provocative and a unique experience will be presented to each participant.

What will we do: Eclectic Physical movement via Yoga Asana that will both Challenge and Inspire... Toning, Sounding and Chanting... Guided Meditations.... Deep Supported Relaxation.... as inspired by all of our Teachers.

With new Tues/Thurs 8 am Flow added, we now have 8 AM YOGA offered 4 DAYS A WEEK IN APRIL.

CAN WE BUY YOUR DUMBBELLS?   FUSION CLASSES HAVE BEEN A HIT - now that we are getting stronger, we need some additoinal heavier weight options.  FLOW is buying any coated (vinyl or neoprene) dumbbells in good condition weighing 5 lbs or more (5s, 7s, 8s, 10s, 12s).  We will pay $1/pound if in good condition.  Thanks!

STROLLERFIT is back - Weds at 9:30 am.  Load up baby and meet us at Flow.  Lots of fun and support - physically and mentally.

EASTER - Savvy is putting together an Easter Egg Hunt Yoga Pose game for Sunday morning - so start your Easter day off great with yoga for the whole family - Sunday 9:30 at Flow.

In this interactive workshop you will learn the musculoskeletal anatomy and biomechanics necessary to safely and effectively teach hatha yoga alignment. This workshop is beneficial for learning kinesiology specific to the foundational poses of all hatha yoga styles. In this workshop, we look beyond the foundational principles of YogaFit's Seven Principles of Alignment (SPA) to explore detailed musculoskeletal and biomechanical principles applied specifically to hatha yoga postures that will help you to become a safer and more effective teacher. This is not just another muscles and bones training. We will learn the following:

Joint & Muscle Action & Pose Transitioning
Pada Bandha - Foot and Lower Leg
Knees
Mula Bandha & Uddiyana Action - Hips, Pelvis and Spine

Freedom in Prison Freedom in Prison

On March 26th, Adi and the Dharma group led a meditation and a talk with 15 men from Pendleton State Prison.   What became immediately obvious from speaking with the inmates is that  each of them had a great treasure to share.  It is incredible to see what can happen to any of us when we are willing to take a deep look at ourselves.  What is so clear is that at the core each of us is inherently and naturally compassionate, peaceful, and absolutely free.  The men were a beautiful example to each of us that no past, no mistake, no supposed limitation can dim the light that shines in the Heart of all Beings. 

Many people made donations and expressed their support--which we a very grateful for.  This program will continue to visit this and other prisons to keep the invitation of spiritual awakening alive even in the darkest of places.  Thank you for your lovingkindness and contributions.
