Class Descriptions

    



Flow


Active, flowing style yoga class (vinyasa yoga) proven to improve strength, cardiovascular health, and flexibility. This class is appropriate for all levels. You will be given options in each pose so that you feel challenged, yet successful. Without breaking the natural flow from pose to pose, the focus will be on alignment and breath.

Power Flow


Power vinyasa class that challenges your strength, flexibility and endurance. Be prepared to sweat! Previous flow yoga experience suggested.

YogaCore


Active, flowing style yoga class for all levels (vinyasa yoga) emphasizing core essentials of alignment and strengthening the core/abdominal/gluteal muscles for power from the center of your body outward.

YogaFit Kids


Fitness, friendship, and positive self-image is the focus here (ages 3-10). Evening classes are taught the same time as adult class so parents can attend their own class at the same time!

Sivananda


Blending poses, breath, and relaxation, this style sequences asana to open the chakras to create a balanced practice. Drop-ins pay karmic donation for this class ($9 suggested - pay what you can). Members are free.

Slow Flow


Meditation in motion, focuses on mindful awareness of the body through alignment and longer holds of postures. This practice encourages a balance between engagement and willful surrender through a moderate flowing style. Beginners & All Levels welcome.

Cycle


A fun and inspiring class where we tap into our active energy through music and movement while training on a specially-designed bike!

Pregnancy yoga


Please call 541-FUN-YOGA or stop by 3rd & Oak to sign-up. Pregnancy Yoga-classes are designed to help women increase energy and vitality, to soften, surrender and deeply relax. Emphasis is on breathwork, listening to one's body and connecting with baby. Women gain confidence in their ability to give birth and mother their newborn child as they learn to trust their inner voice and be powerful. Sessions include special birth partner classes, focusing on communication, breathing and massage techniques as well as positions for labor and birth. Pregnancy yoga is followed up with Post Partum Yoga for new moms and their babies. A wonderful time for moms to come together and meet each other's babies and support one another.

Deeper Flow


Deeper Flow– an active, flowing vinyasa-style class where your instructor will integrate some of the devotional and philosophical aspects of yoga into our asana practice—most Sundays we will practice accompanied by beautiful live Kirtan-style music that blends with the rhythm of our bodies and breath. All levels welcome

Pilates


Pilates Mat class

Intro to Flow


This is an intro class, breaking down poses and creating modifications for each body.

Hot Power Flow


Power vinyasa class taught in a hot room. This is our most challenging class. Stength, flexibility and endurance. Be prepared to sweat!

Hot-26


Hot 26- is a series of 26 poses and 2 breathing exercises performed in a hot room.

Silent Hot 26


Designed for seasoned practitioners. Instructors will direct the timing of the class. Not appropriate for begginers

Astanga


Astanga Vinyasa– a set sequence of postures that is performed by utilizing deep, rhythmic breathing to initiate and coordinate the movements, a focal point which aids in refining inner awareness, & energetic locks to regulate the movement of Prana. Classes are 90—105 minutes.

Gentle Yoga


This class is designed for participants looking for a modified , supported, gentle flow yoga class. Appropriate for all ages and abilities. Julia Jones teaches this group with her kind support and guidence so that every member feels successful as they practice their yoga.

Mommie and Me


Mommies and pre-crawling babies are welcome in this class. This class is developed to feed the growing bond between parents and babies. We will practice in a supportive enviroment helping new mothers to ease back into their yoga practice...or Begginers welcome as are fathers.

Svaroopa


Svaroopa Yoga– Support equals Release—Using exact alignment supported by props, this class results in a sense of calm, peace, awareness and inner stillness, which shows the depth of the practice and efficacy of pin point targeting of key areas resulting in spinal tension release. All Levels.

Core and Restore


This class blends the yang of core strength for the first half of the class with the yin of deep restorative poses to finish this class.

Teen Yoga


Class developed to work with the teens in our community....whether cross training for sports or Dance or looking for a quiet form of movement and destressing this class is for you.

Hatha


Adi was classically trained in Iyengar style yoga in India. He guides students into a still, yet strong, practice. One student said, "I've never been so blissed out while getting my butt kicked at the same time."

Yin / Restore


Adi teaches a meditative, supportive, and restorative class. 60 minutes of yin and restorative poses, followed by 30 min of meditation. All levels welcome.

BACE


A fitness based class with weights and stability balls....great functional training class.

Flow Express


A 45-minute Express Flow class featuring active poses proven to improve strength, cardiovascular health, and flexibility. This class is appropriate for all levels. You will be given options in each pose so that you feel challenged, yet successful. Great cross-training for cycle and other sports.

Meditation


Join Us for Mid-Week Centering - Adi leads this class that includes a few minutes of easy, gentle, warm-up poses to prepare the body for sitting, the majority of the hour will be in seated meditation (guided and silent), and ending with 10-15 minutes of contemplation, satsang (discussion). You are welcome to leave quietly after 45 min (before satsang) if your schedule doesnt allow a full hour.

Adjusters


Sybil and Jody team teach a slow flow format with both teachers offering hand-on Adjustments

Open Practice


OPEN PRACTICE - Main Studio is open and available for your own practice. The room will be heated to about 90 degrees to allow all styles to practice. If you have experience and know a sequence, you are welcome to come practice Hot 26, Primary Series Astanga, Flow, Power Flow, Yin/Restore, or any other sequence or practice you feel moved to practice. Although at times there will be instructors present, there will be no instructor there responsible for your safety and comfort, and all poses and sequences will be done at your own risk. Some hand-outs/examples of sequences from your favorite styles offered at Flow will be available. A great opportunity to inspire your personal practice in a community of fellow practitioners.
